The Rock to the Top wall features an "Auto Belay" system which is a redundant hydraulic safety system that allows for completely safe climbing. As the climber climbs the wall, the system manages the rope length and locks should the climber fall, then slowly lowers them to the ground.

The system is OSHA approved and is ASTMF-24 compliant. In over ten years of use, this system has not had a reported failure. All climbers are supervised by professional climbing and event staff who are on hand to coach and supervise each climber.
